{"id":10596,"date":"2019-01-18T11:30:34","date_gmt":"2019-01-18T10:30:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/?p=10596"},"modified":"2019-03-04T11:29:00","modified_gmt":"2019-03-04T10:29:00","slug":"10596","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/en\/10596\/","title":{"rendered":"Intrapreneurship at the very heart of the 13th edition of the DELFINGEN Leadership Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 13th edition of the DELFINGEN Leadership Meeting was held on December 4 \u2013 7, and brought together over 80 Group executives from Europe \/ Africa, Asia and the Americas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Why a Leadership Meeting?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DELFINGEN organizes its Leadership Meeting every year. It is an event that brings together the main Group executives for several days of conferences, workshops and team building. Various topics were discussed, and activities were organized, so that everyone could grow individually and collectively. Attendees could therefore get out of their day-to-day business and take a step back to imagine the future of DELFINGEN from a different and innovative angle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Intrapreneurship at DELFINGEN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year the intrapreneurship theme had been chosen, as part of the framework of actions that had already been undertaken by the Group. DELFINGEN had indeed started its intrapreneurship program, called \u201cThe Annex,\u201d in June 2018. This is a real project accelerator for colleagues, as it means launching ideation challenges to create emulation around this approach, an Open Lab to model and test new products or concepts, as well as an intrapreneur support program to ensure the successful outcome of projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Annex is a place and a digital platform to think \u201coutside the box\u201d about specific themes sponsored by the Group\u2019s Management team. This program is currently underway in France and will be deployed on other sites abroad this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A round table was organized on the first day to raise awareness amongst the attendees about the notion of intrapreneurship with internal and external speakers, such as<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vinesh Punjabi (Business Development Manager for DELFINGEN in India), about his experience with intrapreneurship within the company;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u00e9line de Greef (Founder of MyCrowdCompany), the platform we use as part of The Annex (THE space dedicated to intrapreneurship at DELFINGEN);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dominique Ebel, Delegate Regional Director at ENEDIS, about his experience with intrapreneurship within this major French company;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Olivier Lamotte, Research engineer, in charge of \u2019Innovation Crunch Time\u00a9 \/ Crunch Lab at UTBM, Engineering College in the French top 10, leader in innovation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All these people have tested intrapreneurship out in their own organizations, and this round table was organized, so we could listen to their impressions and they could share their motivations, successes and precious advice about this with us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10252 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_5866-2-512x341.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_5866-2-512x341.jpg 512w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_5866-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_5866-2-1400x933.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>The DELFINGEN Hackathon<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a first day based on presentations and experience-sharing, DELFINGEN wanted to organize its own hackathon in partnership with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utbm.fr\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UTBM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in the form of a Crunch Time\u00a9. The organization team, in collaboration with members from the Executive Committee thus determined 5 strategic subjects for the future of DELFINGEN, so 10 teams could work on them for 2 and a half days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10257 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6388-2-512x341.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6388-2-512x341.jpg 512w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6388-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6388-2-1400x933.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10270 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6400-1-512x341.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6400-1-512x341.jpg 512w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6400-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6400-1-1400x933.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hackathon was held in the UTBM\u2019s premises, so that staff would be removed from the company context and thereby be as creative as possible. Mini-conferences were organized to provide teams with assistance at various stages of their projects:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Setting an objective \/ how a team works<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Stress management<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Agile methods<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Design thinking<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Lean start-ups<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Knowing how to pitch<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The conferences were conducted by internal speakers, considered as experts in the domain and also by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coaching-facilitation.fr\/en\/home\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Thiriet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, coach for managers and team facilitator.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creativity, energization and modelling activities, such as Lego Serious Play\u00a9 based on the attendees\u2019 projects were also organized by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.divertyevents.fr\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diverty Events<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10275 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6454-512x341.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6454-512x341.jpg 512w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6454-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6454-1400x933.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10280 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6452-512x341.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6452-512x341.jpg 512w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6452-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/img_6452-1400x933.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The UTBM not only hosted the event, but also provided access to all of its infrastructures so teams could prototype, such as interactive digital screens, 3D printing and laser cutting. The engineering students were also present to provide technical support to the groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After 2 and a half days of work, the challenge did not stop there, as teams only had 5 minutes to present their projects!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The attendees each grew in their own way at every stage of this hackathon, depending on the aspects that left a lasting impression on them. The organization was sponsored by the DELFINGEN Academy, an internal training school within the Group, the main objective of which is to pass on know-how and acquire knowledge and skills.
