{"id":4548,"date":"2017-06-26T11:19:37","date_gmt":"2017-06-26T09:19:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/la-fondation-delfingen-celebre-son-10eme-anniversaire\/"},"modified":"2017-11-29T22:21:10","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T21:21:10","slug":"delfingen-foundation-celebrates-its-10th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/en\/delfingen-foundation-celebrates-its-10th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"DELFINGEN Foundation celebrates its 10<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the context of its 10 years anniversary celebrated in 2017, the DELFINGEN Foundation added disability as the fourth pillar of its scope of actions.<\/p>\n<p>This was a good opportunity to look back at the company\u2019s history and origins, because Emile Streit created the company in 1954 in order to provide a job for his sister Jeannette, who was suffering from polio.<\/p>\n<p>In order to start this new chapter in the Foundation\u2019s history while paying an homage to the former generations, a three-days seminar about disabilities was held in June 2017 in Auteuil, DELFINGEN\u2019s headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>The event gathered 90 associates who volunteered to make the trip from every DELFINGEN plants around the world.<\/p>\n<p>These three eventful days were organized around conferences and workshops aiming for in-situation events and sensitization about disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>This conference\u2019s first goal was to have people carrying out collective debates in order to define our own definition of disability, the multiculturalism of our associates being an advantage.<\/p>\n<p>After agreeing on a clear definition, the attendees got into the substance of the topic and addressed &#8211; anonymously &#8211; factual cases that happened in every DELFINGEN plants.<br \/>\nThey were then able to offer solutions (technical, human, etc) allowing to improve our coworkers\u2019 daily lives, along with their spouses\u2019 and their children\u2019, affected by a physical or mental disability.<\/p>\n<p>Furthering the actions already undertaken by the Foundation, taking disability into account will help individuals become more autonomous.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1614\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/delfingen-colloque-fondation-colloque_bs-1400x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1400\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1613\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/delfingen-colloque-fondation-basket_fauteuil-1400x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1400\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1619\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/delfingen-colloque-fondation-workshop_4-1400x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1400\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1618\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/delfingen-colloque-fondation-ping_pong_2-1400x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1400\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1616\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/delfingen-colloque-fondation-guy-1400x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1400\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1615\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/delfingen-colloque-fondation-colloque_tables_2-1400x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1400\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1617\" src=\"https:\/\/delfingen.com\/medias\/delfingen-colloque-fondation-parcours-933x1400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"933\" height=\"1400\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the context of its 10 years anniversary celebrated in 2017, the DELFINGEN Foundation added disability as the fourth pillar of its scope of actions.
