By recycling 1 in 2 pieces of waste in the 30 coastal countries most affected by plastic pollution, 40% of pollution worldwide could be avoided. 

With this in mind, and after a two-year partnership with Plastic Odyssey, the DELFINGEN Philippines teams have taken on a new challenge: to recycle the island’s waste by setting up two micro-factories in Cebu and Cavite/Manila. These will bring together, in the form of containers, the machinery needed to transform waste into new materials or objects.

The Plastic Odyssey laboratory boat and teams will arrive in the Philippines at the end of November. They will be on site for a month to finalize the installation of the micro-factories. This period will also be an opportunity to raise awareness of recycling among the local population.

PH – Cebu | 2024

In December 2021, Super Typhoon Odette hit the island of the Philippines, affecting almost 4.5 million people and destroying homes, telecommunication networks, roads and washing away underwater marine life.

In partnership with Ocean Quest, the DELFINGEN Foundation is mobilized to rehabilitate the coral reef by setting up the nurseries, harvesting broken corals, fragmenting (reproducing) and propagating (planting) new corals…

After two years of work and nearly 1000 corals propagated, the reef has grown from 1cm to 20cm bringing back fishes and marine life!

Well done to all for this magnificent work!

MX – Celaya & Saltillo | August, 2024

Every year, the DELFINGEN Foundation equips hundreds of children with school supplies. In August 2024, for example, 80 children in Saltillo and 241 in Celaya (Mexico) benefited.

DELFINGEN is proud to provide these children with the materials they need to learn in the best possible conditions.

IN – Chennai | July, 2024

Under the Delfingen foundation, IN Chennai organized a workshop on Mental Health Awareness and Stress Management for our coworkers on July 27, 2024.

The workshop was focusing on stress management related to workplace, personal and financial stress as well, and the 22 participants really enjoyed the session! 

IN – Pune | July, 2024

As part of its core values and CSR activities, DELFINGEN and its Foundation were partnering with the Western Ghat Running Foundation in Pune, India, committed to forest conservation and supporting the local communities in need. 

DELFINGEN Team Members in Pune and Damien Personeni, CEO Asia, faced the challenge of running the Sinhagad Epic Trail, and took the opportunity to offer school supplies in a village and participated in a symbolic tree plantation.

CN – Hebi | May, 2024

On May 31 and June 1, the DELFINGEN Foundation organized an eye screening in our Hebi, China site for our coworkers and their families.

Gerald STREIT, Santhosh PARAMEL and Michael Wu,  head of our partner Hoya Shanghai presented the DELFINGEN Foundation and their company’s activities. 

Following the event : 

• More than 200 co-workers and family members received eye screening 
• Around 190 people received free glasses from the DELFINGEN Foundation

PH – Cebu | April, 2024

The DELFINGEN Foundation visited Cebu on April 23th to deliver 10 laptops to representatives of the “Children of Asia” international solidarity project.

The children have received from these laptops as part of their training program in Hard Skills IT Training Program, which has enable them to improve their practical skills and performance.

FR – Anteuil | April, 2024

On April 11th, the DELFINGEN Foundation was present at the preview of the “Dessine moi ta planète” exhibition designed by the Besançon Natural History Museum. 

The exhibition, supported by the Fondation Antoine de Saint-Exupéry for Youth and the Maison Deyrolle, a scientific and educational institution, takes visitors on an immersive, educational and inspiring ten-stage journey. Along the way, participants are invited to take a curious look at the world.

The DELFINGEN foundation financed part of this exhibition, because today’s environmental and social issues are close to our hearts.

MA – Tanger | March, 2024

During the month of Ramadan, volunteers in Tangier handed out financial support to our underprivileged co-workers (cleaners and security guards), thanks to contributions from our teams.  A total of 8 people received 500 MAD on March 8th.

This assistance brought joy and smiles to all the beneficiaries. They were delighted with the initiative and expressed their gratitude to the Foundation for its solidarity!

IN – Chenai | February, 2024

On last Friday February 16, theDELFINGEN Foundation organized an Eye Screening event that took place in DELFINGEN Chennai :

• 370 coworkers & families members were screened
• 230 were provided free eye glasses from DELFINGEN Foundation in partnership with HOYA LENS INDIA PVT LTD & Dr.Agarwal’s Eye Hospital.

HN – Honduras | February, 2024

The Foundation visited schools on February 9th and 10th to give school supplies to the children. Some even visited the Honduras plant! 

In all, the Foundation donated school supplies to 23 of our co-workers and 34 of their children. The total donation amounted to $664.92.

IN – Chennai | January, 2024

Cyclone Michaung in December 2023 caused severe damage to some of our co-workers in Chennai and Tuticorin. Their homes were flooded and their household goods, computer peripherals and vehicles were damaged by the cyclone. As a result, costs had to be incurred to repair the damage caused.

The solidarity of our Foundation enabled 4 colleagues to benefit from financial support on January 30. The DELFINGEN Foundation disbursed a total of INR 59723 to help them.

Today, thanks to the assistance of the DELFINGEN Foundation, our four colleagues have succeeded in repairing the damage caused by the cyclone!
