ENVIRONMENT PILLAR

BEACH CLEANING OPERATION

IN. Chennai– december

The Plastic Odyssey ship reached Chennai, India, on March 1, 2025. A great opportunity for our local team to discover the project behind this expedition, during several key events.

The opening event was held at the Alliance Française de Madras, marking the start of the stopover program. Our team had the chance to meet the Plastic Odyssey team, explore the ship’s innovative recycling technologies and learn more about their global mission against plastic pollution.

On March 6, the DELFINGEN Foundation organized a visit to the Plastic Odyssey ship for its customers and co-workers. It was an opportunity to learn more about sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics, and to see first-hand how non-recyclable plastics are transformed into useful objects.

On March 8, Plastic Odyssey and the DELFINGEN Foundation organized a beach clean-up operation at Kovalam Beach near Chennai. Thanks to the mobilization of 55 volunteers and in partnership with Khabadiwala Connect, 386 kg of waste were collected, including 169 kg of recyclables and 217 kg of non-recyclables.

TREE PLANTATION 

PH. Cebu & CN. Hebi – march

On March 12 in Pune, the DELFINGEN Foundation and its volunteers took part in a tree-planting activity organized by the local government. The event was part of the city’s greening project, to which the Foundation is proud to contribute.

A few days later, on March 15 in Cebu, the Foundation also participated in a mangrove plantation alongside the Philippine Pollution Control Association. An essential initiative to protect marine biodiversity and combat coastal erosion

YOUTH FOR DAGAT PROJECT

The DELFINGEN Foundation is supporting phase 2 of the Youth for Dagat (YFD-2) project, run in partnership with FPUA (France Philippines United Action) and Plastic Odyssey.

Launched on March 24 in Manila, this new phase will enable students from several universities to receive practical training in plastics recycling at the country’s first recycling microfactories. Students will be trained in the various stages of recycling, from collecting plastic waste to transforming it into useful objects. The aim is to raise awareness among young people and promote sustainable waste management.

HEALTH PILLAR

“RUN FOR 70” CHALLENGE

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, DELFINGEN launched a sports and solidarity challenge to its co-workers around the world: walk or run 70km, at their own pace, to support the DELFINGEN Foundation.

In just one month, almost 177 participants embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and collectively covered 12,477 km. A great feat that has enabled the DELFINGEN Foundation to be supported with 12,477.

We’d particularly like to congratulate our first 5 participants on completing 70km in just one or two days. What an exceptional performance! A big thank you to all those who put on their sneakers and contributed to this wonderful human and solidarity adventure.

EYE SCREENING EVENT

CN. Wuhan, april

On April 10, the DELFINGEN Foundation organized an eye screening in our Wuhan, China site with our partner Hoya,  for our coworkers and their families.

Nearly 60 people joined this event, the screening was very detailed, many colleagues and their family were deeply touched by this thoughtful care provided by Foundation.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

IN. Pune, march

As women’s day special, DELFINGEN Foundation organised a wellness session under the theme Women’s Mental Wellbeing & Work Life Balance on 11th March 2025.

26 female coworkers from Pune & 4 from Chennai along with Mrs. Anshu Manocha were a part of this one hour interactive addressal.

DON DU SANG

US. El Paso, february

The Delfingen Americas Foundation hosted a blood donation in El Paso.  Coworkers, suppliers and customers all participated.  

44 pints of blood were collected, that can be used to save 132 lives.

DISABILITY PILLAR

REPLACING A PROTHESIS

CN. Hebi, may

The DELFINGEN Foundation recently supported a colleague at the Hebi plant by financing the replacement of his prosthesis, which had been in use for 9 years. This invaluable help enabled him to obtain a new, more suitable and conformable prosthesis. Since then, he has been able to walk with greater ease on a daily basis. 

Deeply moved by this gesture of solidarity, he expressed his gratitude to the DELFINGEN Foundation for its support!

“PIRILAMPO MAGICO” CAMPAIGN

PT. Porto, may

As it does every year, the DELFINGEN Foundation supported the Pirilampo Mágico campaign, which aims to raise funds for Cercigaia, an education, rehabilitation, training and inclusion cooperative that supports children and young people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities.

Pirilampo Mágico-related items were sold (pirilampos, bags, cups, etc.) and a total of €114.50 was raised and donated to the cooperative.

WALK INDIA

In. Pune, march

On March 9, DELFINGEN Pune, in association with CCI France Inde (IFCCI – Indo French Chamber of Commerce & Industry) & Fupro Innovation Pvt. Ltd., launched “WALK INDIA”. This initiative aimed to improve the lives of amputee patients who were financially disadvantaged. 

Several disabled person from the rural areas of Maharashtra (India) benefited from medical tests. As part of this operation : 55 patients were given a prosthetic limb. 

The program seeked to address critical challenges faced by this underserved community by providing access to advanced prosthetic care, fostering mobility and independence.

OTHER ACTIONS

FARMERS’ MARKET

PT. Porto, april

In Portugal, a solidarity farmers’ market was organized, inviting colleagues to take an active part by bringing in home-made or organic products, or buying them on the spot. This convivial, sharing initiative showcased local skills and participants’ commitment to the environment.

The entire amount of €128 raised was donated to the DELFINGEN Foundation, helping to support its solidarity initiatives.

 

SOUP’ER BOWL 

US. New-York, february

On the day of the Super Bowl, the DELFINGEN US New York team combined festive spirit and solidarity by organizing a fundraising event for the DELFINGEN Foundation as part of the “Soup’er Bowl” event. To mark the event, a soup competition was held on site: eight delicious soups, carefully prepared by team members, were put to the vote. Everyone was able to taste the different recipes and vote for the public prize, as well as for first and second place in the competition.

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of the participants, a total of $272 was raised for the Fondation DELFINGEN, testifying to the team’s commitment to solidarity!
